Good for them! This is great! I’m going to continue shopping there!

“J.C. Penney Co. is already facing embargoes from activist group One Million Moms over its hiring of Ellen DeGeneres as a spokeswoman and a Mother’s Day ad featuring a same-sex couple. The retailer is showing its support for the gay community again — this time using a pic of two loving dads playing with their kids in a Father’s Day campaign. The ad features “real-life dads Todd Koch and Cooper Smith with their children, Claire and Mason.” The move might spark more outrage from One Million Moms, but thanks to such tweets as @JasonDottley’s “I don’t really shop at JC Penny’s but I will now,” any potential boycott is likely to be offset by new business.”

Apparently this woman is my Great x5 Grandmother, Amanda Jane Jones-Roach. Funny thing is, my grandmother came up to me today to tell me she had been looking through old pictures and then saw me as I was typing on the computer (probably on here) and thought that I looked a lot like this woman. I share her hair (color and style), her eye color, her nose and lips, her cheekbones, and her chin.
According to my Nanny, I’m a throwback. Weird. I’m even close to her height!
Anyway, I’m off to find out how she died; she was only like…in her forties. We’ll see! Keep blogging, Tumblr!
What do you think?

This scripture concerns divorce as well as the common practice for when marriages take place. Nowhere in this part of scripture does it condemn gay marriage. Nowhere in the BIBLE does Jesus himself condemn gay marriage.
Also, there IS a separation of church and state. People have a problem with homosexuality because of a RELIGIOUS reason, not a problem with the state. Therefore, if your religion says you cannot be homosexual, fine. That concerns Y0U, but not necessarily anyone else. YOU can’t be gay, but it says nothing about anyone else. Also, the Bible says that gays should be killed, yet murder is against the law—especially if said murder is in COLD BLOOD. Someone’s sexuality is NO GROUNDS for murder. And (just to set the record straight here) the Bible also says that you can sell your children as slaves, you CAN have many wives (King Solomon, David, Jacob, and Abraham), oh and you can kill and cut up your concubines because she’s property. A wife, or any woman in your family is your property and you can do with her as you see fit, and also according to the Bible we should not eat seafood, pork, or any animal with a cloven hoof or one that is a bottom feeder. The Bible also states that if a woman is found not to be a virgin on her wedding night, she should be stoned. OOOOOH WAIT! Science has proven that not all women BLEED during their first time, and that a hymen is not BROKEN but STRETCHED. Science has come through when the Bible could not, in some places. Look, I believe in parts of the Bible, but most of it is barbaric and outdated. The Bible tells us not to Hate, yet condones the mass murder of an innocent people. GROW UP, people! The Bible says a lot of things, but I’m pretty sure that God is “up there” or wherever He is, shaking his head at this whole thing. The world has CHANGED since the Old and New Testament. Do Unto Others, ladies and gentlemen, and remember that before you pluck the splinter from your neighbor’s eye, you must first pluck the log from your own.

“LA MIRADA, Calif. — On the same day President Obama became the first U.S. president to come out in support of same-sex marriage, a group of students announced the presence of the “Biola Queer Underground” at this small evangelical university, touching off a highly-charged debate about Christianity and homosexuality.”
